ABSTRACT
Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) is used in the treatment of type B dissections. Information related to morphologic findings and condition abdominal aorta after TEVAR limited. To analyze for dissections. After a retrospective database review, data 30 patients who underwent from January 1, 2007, through December 31, 2013, dissection were analyzed. Imaging software was calculate diameters volumes on computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Mean follow-up 14.4 months. We performed cover proximal thoracic tears acute chronic dissections.Aortic pre-TEVAR CT MRI compared with most recent post-TEVAR MRI. Frequency false lumen thrombosis (FLT) patency (FLP) determined effect analyzed.Mean (SD) increased true diameter (19.50 [6.92] mm 31.19 [5.36] mm, P < .001) volume (77.92 [41.70] mL 166.95 [69.69] mL, decreased (29.77 [12.55] 21.92 [12.05] = when scans. Seventy percent experienced FLT; 30% had FLP. True expansion regression occurred FLT (82.07 [46.95] 180.55 [77.99] .001 161.84 [106.36] 115.76 [140.77] .002, respectively) FLP (68.23 [21.43] 128.22 [21.46] 238.64 [174.00] 198.93 [120.46] .04, respectively). Patients (15.67 [6.43] 26.13 [7.62] (54.86 [30.52] 88.08 [41.07] TEVAR, no change total (161.94 [70.12] vs 160.36 [82.11] .90). Total significantly (187.24 [89.88] 221.41 [82.64] .02).Favorable remodeling occurs dissections However, failure achieve negatively influences contiguous aorta.
