ABSTRACT
RuO2 is considered as the state-of-the-art electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in acidic media. However, its practical application largely hindered by both high overpotential and severe electrochemical corrosion of active centers. To overcome these limitations, innovative design strategies are necessary, which remains a great challenge. Herein, robust interface Ru centers between graphene, via controllable oxidation graphene encapsulating nanoparticles, presented to efficiently enhance activity stability OER. Through precisely controlling interface, much lower OER only 227 mV at 10 mA cm-2 electrolyte, compared with that 290 commercial , but significantly higher durability than achieved. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal can break classic scaling relationships free energies HOO* HO* reduce limiting potential, rendering an enhancement intrinsic resistance over-oxidation .
