ABSTRACT
Preparing UV-resistant heterogeneous wettability patterns is critical for the practical application of surfaces with wettability. However, combining superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic materials on challenging. Inspired by structure cell membranes, a wettability-patterned surface (UPS) designed via laser ablation coating multilayer structures. silica can be created in situ covered TiO2 nanoparticles. The UV resistance time UPS -based more than two orders magnitude higher that obtained other molecular modification methods require mask. cell-membrane-like regulates migration internal siloxane chain segments hydrophilic hydrophobic regions surface. enables efficient patterning functional under irradiation, controlling wetting behavior liquids open-air systems. Furthermore, its remains stable even after 50 h intense irradiation (365 nm, 500 mW cm-2 ). These patterned will likely applied microfluidics, culture, energy conversion, water collection future.
