ABSTRACT
Amyloid fibrils have emerged as excellent templates and building blocks for the development of ordered functional materials with considerable potential in biomedical applications. Here, lysozyme amyloid (Lys-AFs) are employed situ synthesis ceria nanozymes (Lys-AFs-Ceria) ultrafine dimensions, an optimized Ce3+/Ce4+ ratio, uniform distribution on fibril surface, addressing challenges low catalytic efficiency high susceptibility to aggregation typical traditional methods. As a proof concept, it is further applied Lys-AFs-Ceria develop hydrogel/microneedle treating bacteria-infected diabetic wounds via non-covalent interactions between polyphenols incorporating glucose oxidase (GOX). The facilitates superoxide dismutase catalase cascade catalysis by Lys-AFs-Ceria, integrates GOX-mediated consumption, synergistically achieving reduction, reactive oxygen species elimination, hypoxia alleviation wound infection microenvironment. In addition antibacterial properties tissue regeneration promotion Lys-AFs scaffold, regulates macrophages polarization toward anti-inflammatory M2 state. Collectively, these attributes contribute enhanced efficacy healing, vivo studies demonstrating increased healing following single application, more general effective strategy high-catalytic stable nanozymes.
