ABSTRACT
Cu2O nanoparticles (NPs) enclosed with different crystal facets, namely, c-Cu2O NPs {100} o-Cu2O {111} and t-Cu2O both are prepared their electrocatalytic properties for the reduction of CO2 to C2H4 evaluated. It is shown that selectivity activity production depend strongly on facets exposed in NPs. The selectivities increases order, < t-Cu2O, (with FEC2H4 = 38%, 45%, 59%, respectively). This study suggests more likely responsible than metallic Cu produced surface work provides a new route enhancing by facet engineering.
