ABSTRACT
Chiral metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are usually endowed by chiral linkers and/or guests. The strategy using secondary building units in MOFs for solving the trade-off of circularly polarized luminescence (CPL)-active materials, high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) and dissymmetry factors (|glum |) has not been demonstrated. This work directionally assembles predesigned silver clusters with ACQ through reticular chemistry. nanoscale chirality cluster transmits MOF's framework, where arranged a quasi-parallel manner efficiently isolated rigidified. Consequently, this backbone cluster-based demonstrates superb CPL, PLQYs 50.3%, |glum | 1.2 × 10-2 . Crystallographic analyses DFT calculations show arrangement manners emitting leading to large angle between electric magnetic transition dipole moments, boosting CPL response. As compared, an ion-pair-direct assembly without interactions induces one-ninth one-sixth PLQY values, further highlighting merits directional nets. In addition, prototype switching fabricated framework is controlled alternating ultraviolet visible light. expected inspire development chemistry high-performance chiroptical materials.
