ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Dementia can negatively impact the well‐being and quality of life patients informal caregivers. Digital self‐management tools have potential to support those living with dementia. The aim this review was identify digital used in dementia care, investigate how they users, highlight pertinent clinical psychosocial outcomes. Method Six databases were searched (i.e. CINAHL, EMBASE, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Web Science, Cochrane Review) using free text equivalent database‐controlled vocabulary terms. Result Twenty‐six articles identified reporting 21 focused mainly on caregivers ‐ thus form focus review. promoted through five main functions: Supporting psychoeducation self‐help; improving competency ability; sustaining promoting well‐being; encouraging behaviour change providing motivation; facilitating contact communication healthcare professionals other users. There mixed‐to‐limited evidence a positive influence mental health, burden, life, caregiver perceived ability. Conclusion health technology has caregivers, however areas such as may be resistant some interventions. It is important understand issues around accessibility, uptake, continued use their integrated within care pathways routine care.
