Nicht edel, aber wirksam: Ein neues Ni/NiO/CoSe2-Hybridmaterial wurde als wirksamer Katalysator für die Wasserstoffentwicklung (siehe Bild) hergestellt. Dieser neue hat ein kathodisches Anfangspotential von −0.03 V und eine Tafel-Steigung 39 mV pro Dekade ist zurzeit der beste Platin-freie Elektrokatalysator in saurem Medium.
