ABSTRACT
Abstract The present study reports the development of a unique class Cytochrome C (CytC)‐loaded cross‐beta amyloid nanohybrids. peroxidase activity bound CytC increased up to two orders magnitude in organic solvents compared unbound water. sequences used feature nucleating core 17 LVFF 21 beta (Aβ), which assembled form homogenous fibers and nanotubes. morphology exposed surface nanohydrids critically modulated activity. A CytC–Ac‐KLVFFAE‐NH 2 hybrid featuring nanofiber showed 308‐fold higher than water, 450‐fold with nanotube CytC–Ac‐KLVFFA L ‐NH . Notably, declined substantially when charge was detuned by replacing lysine histidine, thus underpinning importance charge. This enzyme–amyloid nanohybrid system could facilitate technological application enzymes.
