ABSTRACT
A face off: Diisobutylaluminum hydride (DIBAL-H) has been found to be an effective O-desilylating reagent at the primary of cyclodextrins. This methodology shows high chemo- and regioselectivity provides route orthogonally protected, multisubstituted cyclodextrin derivatives.
