ABSTRACT
Which way to choose? The trimetallic cyanide-bridged Fe6Co3W6 cluster serves as a molecular platform for two cooperating electron-transfer channels, WV–CN–HSCoII⇄WIV–CN–LSCoIII and WV–CN–HSFeII⇄WIV–CN–HSFeIII. {CoII3FeII6[WV(CN)8]6(MeOH)24}⋅x MeOH has first-order unique spin transition with thermal charge-transfer-induced bistability that is due specific distribution of Co Fe sites.
