ABSTRACT
A new N 2 O ‐tetradentate Schiff base ligand entitled as N,N′‐((ethane‐1,2‐diybis [oxy])bis (ethan‐2,1‐diyl))bis(3‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)prop‐2‐en‐1‐imine was prepared by direct reaction between 3‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐2‐propenal and 1,8‐diamino‐3,6‐dioxaoctane. After characterization of the ligand, some novel cadmium coordination compounds formulated CdLX (X: Cl − , Br I 3 SCN NO ) were synthesized characterized physical spectral techniques. Typically crystal structure nitrate compound determined suggesting crystallization in monoclinic system (with space group 2/a a geometry square anti‐prism around Cd (II) ion. Moreover, CdLBr CdLI nanostructured dimensions sonochemical method confirmed SEM, EDX, XRD In continuation, thermal behavior investigation including stabilities, decomposition steps, thermo‐kinetic parameters performed based on Coats‐Redfern equations from room temperature to 900 °C. Furthermore, all subjected bioassay against two Gram‐positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus Bacillus subtilis Gram‐negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa Escherichia coli, fungal strains Aspergillus oryzae Candida albicans . The results showed that act well antimicrobial agents. DNA cleavage power materials also evaluated using extracted E. coli bacterium. cytotoxic activities investigated prostate cancer cell lines (PC3) human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) (as normal cells) MTT assay nitric oxide level evaluation compared with cis ‐platin confirming anti‐cancer effects them. Finally, antioxidant properties ‐ligand its examined DPPH FRAP methods have good activity standard samples.
