ABSTRACT
Abstract Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) are special classes of thermoplastic elastomers, in which dynamic vulcanization the rubber phase takes place during melt mixing with a semicrystalline matrix at elevated temperature. This review article focus on different types from various elastomer and blends that suitable for automotive applications purpose. A detailed study TPVs based polypropylene‐ethylene propylene diene (PP‐EPDM) α‐olefin has been focused their application automobile sector summarized. Most commercially available PP‐EPDM based. Limited high heat oil resistant purposes requires new generation TPVs. High performance or super exhibit resistance as well excellent property under‐the‐hood applications. Therefore XNBR‐PA12, HNBR‐PA12 FKM‐PA6 system also explored details this possibility use those TPV temperature purpose where properties is prime concern.
