ABSTRACT
Abstract Biodegradable active packaging materials have received growing attention for extending the shelf life of foodstuffs. A Pectin/eugenol (Pe/Eu) composite film is prepared by casting from pectin and eugenol. The morphology wettability are characterized. antioxidant activity determined with DPPH method. Special given to release kinetics Eu Pe/Eu its application in pork preservation. results display that increased surface roughness, hydrophobicity, film. In addition, mechanism controlled diffusion. behavior can prolong pork. Therefore, our suggest films provide new ways extend animal‐based protein foods.
