ABSTRACT
Abstract Adsorption of dibenzothiophene (DBT) from model oil was investigated using composites pure activated charcoal and bentonite clay. DBT adsorption carried out in batch mode experiments at laboratory scale, where the developed composite materials showed a synergistic effect removal terms improved surface acidity mesoporous structure Thermodynamics, kinetics, optimization various parameters were investigated. Kinetic analyses proved that followed pseudo‐second‐order kinetics. To study thermodynamics adsorption, different isotherm models applied. The Langmuir best fitted to data. Various thermodynamic evaluated, including Gibbs free energy, entropy, enthalpy.
