ABSTRACT
Abstract Hydrogen is the most promising alternative energy source in face of crisis, and water splitting a green strategy for hydrogen generation. The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) essential half‐reaction electrochemical splitting, thus development exploration electrocatalysts with excellent performance are vital to prompt application OER. Due unique electronic properties NiTe strong synergistic interaction between FeOOH, NiTe@FeOOH hybrid nanorods were successfully fabricated on Ni foams (NF) by hydrothermal step another in‐situ growth first time without consuming any extra energy. 3D structure NiTe@FeOOH/NF was confirmed powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) dispersive spectrometry (EDS) mapping technologies. Electrochemical measurements showed that as‐prepared needs only an overpotential 241 mV achieve current density 10 mA cm −2 1.0 M KOH requires 1.341 V drive 1 0.33 urea, showing long‐term stability. as bifunctional electrocatalyst electrolyzer shows high efficiency cell voltage 1.50 at . This work can provide new efficient method construct highly active cost‐effective OER catalysts.
