ABSTRACT
Abstract The impregnated copper on magnetite catalyst is a versatile system for the synthesis of imines starting from alcohols and amines. This does not require any type expensive difficult to handle organic ligand or typical transition metals, provides excellent yields achievable under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, very easy remove medium by simply using magnet. one‐pot process dehydrogenation in presence aniline followed aqueous hydrolysis gave pure yields. In addition amines, nitroarenes could be used as nitrogen‐containing reagent. case primary amines expected were successfully prepared similar
