ABSTRACT
This article is a study of a novel method for the preparation of cobalt–manganese layered double hydroxide (CoMn‐LDH). An impinging stream–rotating packed‐bed (IS–RPB) reactor is used with a coprecipitation method to prepare CoMn‐LDH. The results show that the IS–RPB reactor has a good strengthening effect on the physical and electrochemical properties of CoMn‐LDH. Compared with CoMn‐LDH prepared by a traditional stirred reactor, the sample prepared by IS–RPB has smaller particle size (187.9 nm), larger specific surface area (92.5 m2 g−1), higher specific capacitance (1477 F g−1 at 1 A g−1), better rate capability (70.2% retention at 5 A g−1), and longer cycling life. All in all, this work provides a means to continuously prepare CoMn‐LDH electrode materials with outstanding performance.
