ABSTRACT
Abstract Extraction experiments with hexane were carried out at atmospheric pressure in Soxhlet, conventional and ultrasound extractions of flaked caraway seeds, detailed results are given for two major plant extract components, carvone limonene. The indicate that yield quality better extraction compared to those by methodology. rates limonene reported ultrasound‐assisted was 1.3–2 times more rapid, depending on temperature, than a system, according the rate constant obtained during initial 10 minutes extraction. Moreover, SEM micrographs provided evidence mechanical effects ultrasound, mainly appearing cell walls shown destruction cells, faulitating release their contents, contrast maceration or extraction, which involve diffusion extracts across glandular causing rupture over longer time periods.
