ABSTRACT
Abstract Composite membranes made‐up of sulphonated polyetheretherketone (SPEEK, DS = 0.5) and a silylated hybrid organic–inorganic derivative polyphenylsulphone (SiSPPSU, 2) were prepared characterised. The water methanol uptake, as well thermal properties, blend containing 5 10 wt.‐% SiSPPSU evaluated. electrochemical performance the was evaluated by impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tested in direct fuel cell (DMFC) station. presence modified properties SPEEK, allowing to increase its terms proton conductivity, hydrolytic stability. These blends appeared be suitable electrolytes for DMFC applications.
