Social justice content in counseling journals: Comparison of publication rates

ABSTRACT
Abstract Social justice is listed as a professional value for the American Counseling Association (ACA) (2014), yet publication in this topic may not be commensurate with its importance to profession. This article presents results of qualitative content analysis (QCA, Schreier, 2012) titles and abstracts 917 articles 18 ACA journals one School Counselor journal document each journal's rate social justice‐related 2 years: 2018 (2 years before Anti‐Racism Statement, 2020) 2022 after statement). Results are presented, topics listed. Implications provided researchers, association leaders, editors, reviewers.
