ABSTRACT
Abstract To evaluate soil erodibility under different land uses and to study the applicability of nomograph for estimation a field experiment was conducted both natural simulated rainfall conditions four viz . barren, cultivated, grassland, forest in sub‐mountainous tract Punjab (India). Measured ( K ) values varied from 0·33 0·67 0·23 0·40 conditions. Among uses, measured order barren > cultivated grassland soils. The estimated by were very low as compared observed values. trends also contrast these modify equation, ranges aggregate sizes correlated with loss. It that water stable aggregates (WSA) <2 mm size had significant correlation loss r = 0·88) 0·76) So equation modified include M parameter based on WSA size. value Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
