ABSTRACT
Carbon fiber composite laminates have good electrical properties due to the performance of fibers, but anisotropy induces a quite lower conductivity through thickness. In fact, in this direction bundles are separated by insulating epoxy matrix. work, CNTs (carbon nanotubes) with different geometries and functionalization been added an resin improve performance. The nanofilled matrix has used produce carbon (CF) composites for aerospace applications. Multiscale modeling was predict some important parameters such as percolation threshold model successfully verified experimental results. results reported show improvement mechanical both composites. particular, nanocomposite matrix, one order magnitude laminate thickness achieved.
