ABSTRACT
Abstract In the present work, a review of metallic (M) and semiconducting (S) separation single‐wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) using polysaccharide gels is presented. First, progress M/S described, including following: discovery high‐yield agarose gel electrophoresis, SWCNTs without an electric field, such as through use freeze squeeze method, development continuous column chromatography, single‐chirality multicolumn with dextran‐based gel. Next, mechanism discussed, in which achieved by selective adsorption S‐SWCNTs specific combination surfactant Lastly, future directions for separated are discussed. magnified image (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
