ABSTRACT
Ginsenoside Rd (GRd) is a biologically active component of ginseng that stimulates the proliferation endogenous stem cells. The objective our research was to evaluate utility GRd in gastrointestinal mucosal regeneration rat model inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and clarify whether exerts its pharmacological effects by modulating intestinal IBD established via subcutaneous injection indomethacin, 10, 20, or 40 mg/kg an equal volume physiological saline then administered orally rats different groups every day for seven consecutive days. We observed treatment, especially 20 GRd, significantly reduced indomethacin‐induced damage compared with control group. By measuring mRNA protein levels cell markers Bmi Msi‐1 epithelial marker CDX‐2 as well double‐labelling these 5‐bromo‐2‐deoxyuridine (BrdU), we inferred could stimulate differentiation cells rats, leading improved recovery function.
