ABSTRACT
Solar‐driven steam generation is considered one of the most promising techniques to obtain fresh water. Under same projection area, a 3D evaporator has larger evaporation area and can get more energy from environment, resulting into better performance. evaporators are often hindered by complex dangerous fabrication processes, special expensive equipment, costly raw materials. Herein, simple method prepare low‐cost highly efficient solar using chalk ink that common in classrooms proposed. This does not involve materials any manufacturing process fast, especially suitable for less developed regions. Thanks excellent hydrophilicity strong sunlight absorption black ink, ink‐stained (ISC) shows up 20.49 kg m −2 h −1 rate under sun illumination. When treating real seawater sample, ISC prepared broken or used chalks show (8.97–19.91 ) stable (24 h) desalination. The presented this work offers new avenue develop high‐efficient desalination, which attractive remote areas.
