ABSTRACT
Silicosis is an occupational lung disease that results from long-term inhalation of free silica dust, the expression sustained inflammation response, fibroblast hyperplasia, and excessive collagen deposit, bringing about pulmonary interstitial fibrosis. Wnt signaling pathway exists in various kinds eukaryotic cells, a highly conservative biological evolution, participates cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, polarity physiological activity, such as embryonic development, organ morphology, tumor. In addition, it plays important role progress fibrosis disease. At present, studies related to silicosis are increasing, but pathogenesis still not clear. recent years, more have suggested could participate study, we explored mechanism evaluated effect XAV-939 treatment epithelial-mesenchymal transformation (EMT) induced by silica. showed EMT activation would occur after stimulation or TGF-β1. However, with inhibitor XAV-939, was reversed β-catenin decreased. These associated be potential target for silicosis.
