ABSTRACT
To evaluate the morbidity and mortality of neonates with left-sided isolated congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) according to gestational age at delivery. This was a retrospective study fetuses diagnosed prenatally CDH that were delivered in University Hospitals Antoine Béclère-Bicêtre Leuven between 1 January 2010 31 December 2018. The Kaplan-Meier method used calculate cumulative survival 28 days after birth delivery. association delivery, as continuous variable, modeled using fractional polynomial. Adjustment for position liver, management center mode delivery performed. also evaluated severity CDH, defined by observed-to-expected lung-to-head ratio (o/e-LHR), which classified severe (o/e-LHR < 25%), moderate 25% 45%) or mild > 45%).We included 213 median 38 + 2 weeks (interquartile range, 37 0 39 weeks). rates 6 months 66.7% (142/213) 64.3% (137/213), respectively. analysis showed higher rate babies than those (log-rank test, P 0.001). In subgroup 28-day significantly newborns (81.5% vs 61.5%; = 0.03), this case months. increased advancing up about 38-39 (P 0.005), decreased from onwards.Delivery weeks' gestation is associated lung hypoplasia, independently intrathoracic © 2020 International Society Ultrasound Obstetrics Gynecology.
