ABSTRACT
A bstract We study a class of nonstandard interactions the newly discovered 125 GeV Higgs-like resonance that are especially interesting probes new physics: flavor violating Higgs couplings to leptons and quarks. These interaction can arise in many frameworks physics at electroweak scale such as two doublet models, extra dimensions, or models compositeness. rederive constraints on using data rare decays, electric magnetic dipole moments, meson oscillations. confirm boson decays be sizeable with, e.g., h → τμ τe branching ratios $ \mathcal{O} (10%) perfectly allowed by low energy constraints. estimate current LHC limits recasting existing searches for SM ττ channel find these bounds already stronger than those from tau decays. also show improved significantly with dedicated we outline possible search strategy. Flavor therefore present an opportunity discovery which some cases may easier access experimentally conserving deviations Standard Model framework.
