ABSTRACT
Abstract Using erroneous test data can be misleading in nondestructive evaluation practice. The objective of this paper is to discuss what experimental use and how mitigate error when a modal used. In paper, the flexibility its derivative, uniform load surface (ULS) are analyzed for their truncation effect sensitivity error. ULS found have much less least sensitive These features make it critical index structural identification as needed evaluation. This also discusses utilize pretest analysis determine frequency band that will lead ultimate usefulness approach presented effective accurate A numerical example real structure, Cross-Country Highway Bridge Cincinnati, Ohio, area, effect.
