ABSTRACT
Major causes of chronic kidney disease are primary proliferative and nonproliferative glomerulonephritides (PGN NPGN). However, the pathogenesis PGN NPGN is still not fully understood. Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 (CTLA-4) a T-cell membrane receptor that plays key role in inhibition. Despite its autoimmunological diseases, little known about involvement CTLA-4 NPGN. The objective this study was to determine by evaluating frequencies T B lymphocytes expressing serum concentration sCTLA-4 isoform patients with relation clinical parameters. included peripheral blood (PB) samples from 40 20 healthy age- sex-matched volunteers (control group). viable PB were labeled fluorochrome-conjugated monoclonal anti-CTLA-4 antibodies analyzed using flow cytometry. measured ELISA. absolute counts CD4+/CTLA-4+ lymphocytes, CD8+/CTLA-4+ CD19+/CTLA-4+ lower control group. Reduced expression associated immunoglobulins. Our results indicate deregulation may result continuous activation cells contribute
