ABSTRACT
Remote access of trainees to training centers via video streaming (tele-observership, e‑fellowship) emerges as an alternative acquire knowledge in endovascular interventions. Situational awareness is a summary term that also used surgical procedures for perceiving and understanding the situation projecting what will happen next. A high situational would serve prerequisite meaningful learning success during tele-observerships. We hypothesized live perception angiographical using technology feasible sufficient gain useful procedure.During European tele-observership organized by Society Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) its trainee association (EYMINT), total six neurointerventional fellows five countries observed cases performed experienced neurointerventionalists (mentors) different high-volume neurovascular across Europe equipped with live-streaming (Tegus Medical, Hamburg, Germany). Cases were prospectively evaluated 12-month period, followed final questionnaire after completion course.A 102/161 (63%) 1:1 allocation fellow mentor period. Most frequent conditions ischemic stroke (27.5%), embolization unruptured aneurysms (25.5%) arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) (15.7%). level was reported 75.5% all cases. After finishing program, general improvement be extensive (1/6 fellows), substantial (3/6), moderate (2/6). The specific fields procedural (6/6 technical (3/6) complication management (2/6).Online facilitates location-independent complex through levels can therefore supplement hands-on-training. In addition, it leads effect perceived their knowledge.
