ABSTRACT
The association of TBI with socioeconomic characteristics patients has not been studied extensively. objective this study was to analyse the differences in injury and outcome based on their occupational status.Data from 13 centres Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia were included analysis. Demographic characteristics, treatment at various post-injury stages compared according status. Logistic regression used adjust for effect co-variates. ICU mortality, hospital 6 months as dependent variables.Overall, 886 analysed a mean age 45.5 years. High-level falls most prevalent blue-collar group (19%), low-level occurred retired group. Traffic accidents common students. injuries severe Highest mortalities unfavourable outcomes retired, students white-collar workers had best outcomes. Compared patients, all groups higher odds favourable after adjusting co-variates-OR 2.2 (95% CI 1.1-4.6) entrepreneurs 3.6 1.8-7.2) group.Our paper provides clues pertaining specifically variations patterns status which can inform prevention planning services serve plan priorities further research.
