ABSTRACT
A novel QTL cluster for appearance quality on Chr07 was identified using reciprocal introgression populations in different locations China. Two secondary F 2 validated with significant effect quality. Appearance (AQ) is the main determinants of market value rice. Identification affecting AQ prerequisite efficient improvement through marker-assisted selection (MAS). sets lines derived from indica Minghui 63 and japonica 02428 were used to dissect stability five traits, including grain length, width, length width ratio, percentage grains chalkiness, degree endosperm chalkiness 4568 bin genotype produced 58,000 SNPs across environments. total 41 30 main-effect MH63 backgrounds, respectively. Among them, 9 background-independent (BI-QTL) found. There also 13 10 stable-expressed (SE-QTL) at least two environments important BI- SE-QTL regions (BISERs) BISER-I harboring qPGWC5, qDEC5, qGW5.1, qLWR5 chromosome 5 BISER-II qGL7, qLWR7, qPGWC7, qDEC7 7 identified. The newly reported by F2 backgrounds. 59 epistatic (E-QTL) detected this study, there only four SE- but no BI-E-QTL environments, indicating that genetic background has stronger traits than environmental factors, especially (PGWC) (DEC) lower heritability. many favorable alleles slender rice are much MAS.
