Abstract Driven by the increasing availability and deployment of ubiquitous computing technologies across our private professional lives, implementations automatically processable regulation (APR) have evolved over past decade from academic projects to real-world states companies. There are now pressing issues that such encoded brings about for citizens society, strategies mitigate these required. However, comprehensive yet practically operationalizable frameworks navigate complex interactions evaluate risks implement APR not available today. In this paper, based on related work as well own experiences, we propose a framework support conceptualization, implementation, application responsible APR. Our contribution is twofold: provide holistic characterization what means; operationalize in concrete projects, form leading questions, examples, mitigation strategies. We thereby scientifically backed applicable way guide researchers, sponsors, implementers, regulators toward better outcomes users society.
