ABSTRACT
Abstract Hydrophobicity plays a pivotal role in mitigating surface fouling, corrosion, and icing critical marine aerospace environments. By employing ultrafast laser texturing, the characteristic properties of material’s can be modified. This work investigates potential an advanced texturing manufacturing process to enhance hydrophobicity aluminium alloy 7075. The were characterized using goniometry, 3D profilometry, SEM, XPS analysis. findings from this study show that parameters play crucial required structures. Numerical optimization with response was conducted maximize contact angle on these surfaces. maximum water achieved 142º, average height roughness (Sa) 0.87 ± 0.075 µm, (Sz) 19.4 2.12 texture aspect ratio 0.042. sample manufactured 3W power, 0.08 mm hatch distance, 3 mm/s scan speed. highlights importance structures presents parametric modeling approach used optimize obtain specific morphology hydrophobicity.
