ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective To investigate the prognostic value of baseline magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) texture analysis hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and microwave ablation (MWA). Methods MRI was performed on 102 patients HCC before receiving TACE combined MWA in this retrospective study. The best 10 features were screened as a feature group for each sequence by MaZda software using mutual information coefficient (MI), nonlinear discriminant (NDA) other methods. optimal lowest misdiagnosis rate achieved one between two groups dichotomized 3-year survival, which used to optimize significant cutoff values. Cox proportional hazards model generated clinical variables determine independent predictors overall survival (OS). predictive performance further evaluated area under ROC curve (AUC). Kaplan–Meier log-rank tests disease-free (DFS) Local recurrence-free (LRFS). Results 8.82% obtained T2WI MI NDA analysis. For regression models, factors associated OS albumin ( P = 0.047), BCLC stage 0.001), Correlat (1,− 1)T2 0.01) SumEntrp (3,0)T2 0.015), prediction efficiency multivariate is AUC 0.876, 95%CI 0.803–0.949. analyses demonstrated that < 0.023) 0.001) DFS, 0.007) related LRFS. Conclusions MR may be predict prognosis MWA.
