ABSTRACT
Abstract Using the solution casting method, a blend of polyvinyl alcohol/chitosan (PVA/Cs) was prepared with different amounts polypyrrole (PPy) to enhance structural and electrical conductivity films. The miscibility interaction between PVA/Cs were confirmed by FT-IR measurements shifting disappearing some bands suggesting that PVA functional group interacted every other on Cs side chain. For PVA/Cs/PPy, band intensities varied, indicating PPy PVA/Cs. XRD showed addition leads noticeable decrease in intensity diffraction peak at 2 θ = 20.0° confirming interactions have occurred mixture PPy. UV–visible spectra indicate increasing dramatic energy gap an increase Urbach due creation new levels emerged conduction valance bands. After introduced, polaron bipolaron transition peaks 416, 465, 560 nm become apparent PL spectrum. dielectric properties reported. values ε ′ ′′ stronger low frequencies possibilities interface polarization processes. tan δ behavior diagrams exhibited one trend all samples shift toward higher as temperature rise. presence explained based mechanism behavior. Cole–Cole plot displays half semicircle shape explains absence contact effects. This expands both increase.
