ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to establish the composition polyphenolic preparations obtained from industrial strawberry pomace with two methods extraction: water and water-alcoholic one then analyse their effects in gastrointestinal tract depending on dietary fibre-cellulose or fructooligosaccharides (FOS).Freeze-dried extract (PTW), containing 5.1% ellagic acid, 0.2% proanthocyanidins, soluble carbohydrates as a major part, water-alcohol (PTE), 17.1% acid 10.9% were administered, equivalent quantity 0.06% 4- 8-week-old rats (8 animals per group), component modified AIN-93 diets 5% cellulose FOS.The addition extracts had no effect either diet intake body weight experimental rats. Both extracts, similarly FOS, beneficially reduced activity β-glucuronidase caecal digesta, PTW being significantly higher than that PTE (7.59 vs. 9.20 μmol/h/g, P = 0.001). In comparison PTE, increased digesta mass (1.45 1.27 k/kg BW) total production SCFA (86.1 71.4 μmol/100 g BW). enhanced physiological FOS by inhibiting β-glucuronidase, increasing production. Such an not recorded case preparation. The affected certain enzymes intestinal microflora its most important products.
