ABSTRACT
Reporting our experience in treating chronic obstructive sialadenitis with a protocol consisting of sialoendoscopy and intraductal instillation antibiotics, steroids n-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) solution.Prospective study patients no apparent lithiasic obstructions, recurrent non-lithiasic sialoadenitis not solved sialoendoscopy. In all cases, was performed. All the affected by where inflammation resolved were excluded from study. The mid-term follow-up performed at 12 months via phone interview, to understand whether had developed any further symptoms after treatment.This included 26 patients. patient without sialolithiasis have reported during period. Two those shown signs recurrence. remaining three non-resolved recurrence which treated again 1 administration betamethasone, gentamicine NAC, showing immediately regression symptoms.Intraductal gentamicin + NAC betamethasone seemed effective for therapy sialoadenitis. Our also that cases it possible remove or detect endoscopically an obstruction. these we noticed increase symptom-free time even stones.
