Abstract Purpose Hyperthermic intrathoracic chemotherapy (HITOC) is an additive, intraoperative treatment for selected malignant pleural tumors. To improve local tumor control, the thoracic cavity perfused with a cisplatin-containing solution after surgical cytoreduction.
