The aim study evaluate previously infected abdominal following treatment NPWT.Single-center retrospective patients treated NPWT followed by either referenced group receiving open therapy. Endpoints were rate, complications (such as recurrent or hernia), and perioperative data duration hospitalization parameters). One hundred ninety-eight during 2013-2016 received after analyzed 67 the same period NPWT. No significant difference BMI, chronic immunosuppressive medication, tobacco use found between both groups. mean hospital stay 30 days comparable patient groups (29 versus 33 days, p = 0.35). Interestingly, only 7.7% developed surgical site over 80% discharged closed requiring minimal outpatient care.Surgical is good safe alternative treatment.
