ABSTRACT
Abstract Background The existing ex vivo models of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) cannot simulate intraoperative hemorrhage well. We aimed to establish an ESD training method by applying model with continuous perfusion (ETM-CP). Methods Four sessions were conducted for 25 novices under the guidance 2 experts. Eventually, 10 completed operations on a total 89 patients after training. resection effectiveness, speed, complication rate, and novice performance before compared. data regarding effects gathered through questionnaire survey. Results In terms simulation effect model, ETM-CP was evaluated as similar live pig in all aspects ( P > 0.05). analysis revealed that theoretical knowledge, skill operation, self-confidence improved < time per unit area had correlation number periods (rs = – 0.232). For performance, shortened There no difference patient between group expert en bloc resection, R0 bleeding (ERB) score, muscularis propria injury (MPI) Conclusion is effective
