ABSTRACT
A combination of omics techniques (transcriptomics and metabolomics) has been used to elucidate the mechanisms responsible for antitumor action a nanosystem based on Ag core coated with mesoporous silica which transferrin anchored as targeting ligand against tumor cells (Ag@MSNs-Tf). Transcriptomics analysis carried out by gene microarrays RT-qPCR, while high-resolution mass spectrometry metabolomics. This multi-omics strategy enabled discovery effect this different key molecular pathways including glycolysis, pentose phosphate pathway, oxidative phosphorylation synthesis fatty acids, among others.
