ABSTRACT
Abstract The electrochemical behaviour of steel, copper, and titanium current collectors was studied in aqueous solutions lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI) at various concentrations, from 0.5 up to 20 m. As the concentration electrolyte increases, window water stability widens according “water-in-salt” concept. metal grids have been electrochemically, both under anodic cathodic conditions, by means cyclic voltammetry chronoamperometry. Subsequently, a microscopic analysis with SEM compositional XPS carried out evaluate surface modifications following stress. We found that copper is not very suitable for this kind application, while steel showed interesting large window.
