ABSTRACT
Abstract A typical sealing system for rotating shafts consists of the radial shaft ring (RSS), lubricant and counter-surface (SCS) shaft. The properties machined surface SCS have an impact on system. structural pattern influences flow along axial direction. In this paper, a simplified micro scale hydrodynamic simulation model is presented in order to study determine induced by system, isolated from effects seal, allow rating surface. influence seal was neglected simulation. Simulated surfaces corresponding different machining parameters are used as input. These variants were created using kinematic which simulates ideal process investigate direction across tribo-contact. From investigation, connection between applied conveying can be estimated. also validated with experimental results hard turned parameters. Differences manufactured real kinematically simulated cause deviations results.
