ABSTRACT
The papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus, is an invasive pest that causes significant damage to various tropical fruits and ornamentals worldwide. Lambda-cyhalothrin, effective insecticide in integrated management (IPM) strategies, can control P. marginatus. This study evaluated the sublethal effect of lambda-cyhalothrin on life table parameters detoxification enzymes activities Furthermore, transcriptome sequencing analysis revealed potential mechanisms detoxification-related genes associated with activities. reported showed high activity against LC30 values 8.98 mg/L. Two-sex results development duration second instar nymphs, preadults, adult female longevity was significantly prolonged, fecundity stimulated F1-CY marginatus when parental generation exposed lambda-cyhalothrin. Moreover, treatment increased Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450) glutathione-S-transferase (GST) enzymes. Additionally, expression levels P450, GST, carboxylesterase, esterase were observed subjected exposure. Our findings demonstrate concentrations influenced changes differential detoxifying might be involved response metabolism These could contribute a comprehensive risk assessment provide guidance for scientific use IPM strategies.
