ABSTRACT
This study was designed to compare short-term outcomes after hand-assisted laparoscopic vs. straight colorectal surgery.Eleven surgeons at five centers participated in a prospective, randomized trial of patients undergoing elective sigmoid/left colectomy and total colectomy.
