Effect of 24-epibrassinolide on drought stress-induced changes in Chorispora bungeana

ABSTRACT
Brassinosteroids (BRs) have been proposed to increase the resistance of plants drought stress. The effect foliar application 0.1 μM 24-epibrassinolide (EBR) on chlorophyll (Chl) content, photosystem 2 (PS 2) photochemistry, membrane permeability, lipid peroxidation, relative water content (RWC), proline and antioxidant system in drought-stressed Chorispora bungeana was investigated. results showed that polyethylene glycol (PEG) induced stress decreased RWC, Chl variable maximum fluorescence ratio (Fv/Fm) less pretreated with EBR than non-pretreated plants. In addition, measured terms malondialdehyde permeability were increased plants, while antioxidative enzyme activities reduced ascorbate glutathione contents more These suggested could improve plant growth under
