ABSTRACT
To investigate the antioxidative response of glutathione metabolism in Urtica dioica L. to a cadmium induced oxidative stress, activities reductase (GR), glutathione-S-transferase (GST), and peroxidase (GSH-Px), content reduced (GSH) oxidized (GSSG) glutathione, lipid peroxidation (LPO), also accumulation Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu besides Cd were determined roots, stems, leaves plants exposed 0 (control), 0.045, 0.09 mM CdCl2 for 58 h. Whereas continuously increased all organs, decreased dependence on applied concentration incubation time. The treatment resulted GR GST however, GSH-Px activity was dependent plant organ. GSH/GSSG ratio maintained above control level stems at both concentrations. LPO generally close values roots but it especially Cd.
